Halloween is on the horizon, and what better way to celebrate than with some fun and affordable crafts for your little ones!

If you’re a parent looking for creative activities that can keep your toddlers entertained (and away from the screen), you’re in the right place!

As a mom to an actually insane 2-year-old, I’m excited to share some simple DIY Halloween crafts that will keep your kids entertained and won’t break the bank.

At the end, I’ll add everything up and we can see just how little it all cost.

Halloween Craft Supplies on a Budget

When it comes to budget-friendly finds, your best bet is going to be dollar stores, like Dollar Tree and Dollar General. But don’t overlook your local grocery stores!

You’ll pretty much find Halloween themed stuff everywhere in October so just keep your eyes open for the best deals.

Everything we grabbed was either from a grocery store or the Dollar Tree! You can even shop online for some cheap crafts inspired by our finds if that’s more your thing.

Spooktacular Grocery Store Finds

My daughter is OBSESSED with pumpkins, so I knew we had to incorporate them into our Halloween crafts.

Instead of carving, we found a cute pumpkin painting set at Food Lion for just $7. So, immediately that went into my cart and it was an absolute hit with her when we got home!

If your kid doesn’t want to use brushes, they can easily use their little fingers instead and get a more tactile experience!

For finding mini pumpkins online you can check your local grocery store’s website for delivery options.

Pumpkin Sticker Magic

Another gem I found on our grocery trip was a fantastic pumpkin sticker set at Aldi for $2.99. Kids love stickers, and they’re an easy and affordable way to spark creativity!

These stickers are meant for pumpkins, but we’ve been using them on construction paper when making some festive Halloween art or drawing pictures.

You can get creative by cutting shapes out of construction paper and putting stickers on them, putting them in a coloring book, or even making a Halloween card!

We ended up with a Peanuts sticker set featuring Snoopy, but they had a few different styles including Stitch and Hello Kitty!

Dollar Store Finds

A new Dollar Tree just opened nearby, and I was amazed at the variety of toddler-friendly Halloween activities they offered!

Here’s what we picked up — all for just $1.25 each:

Window Stickers

These Halloween-themed window stickers are charming and perfect for decorating!

My toddler loves telling me what each sticker represents, making it both a fun and educational experience.

They’re also easy to put up and take down, so you don’t have to worry about them being stuck to your window forever.

Cheap Paint Set

Staying with our painting theme, we grabbed an affordable paint palette with brushes.

This set is ideal for adding more colors to our pumpkin art and painting other Halloween-inspired creations like ghosts and cats.

Adorable Paintable Ornaments

We couldn’t resist adding a cute bat ornament to our craft stash! It’s perfect for painting and fits right into the Halloween spirit.

They carried several different styles of ornaments as well.

Total Spent

When all was said and done, our Halloween crafting spree totaled just $13.74 before tax.

Not too shabby for a weekend filled with creativity and fun! Plus, we still have extra paint and stickers for future projects.

Final (Spooky) Thoughts

There are countless budget-friendly ways to create lasting memories with your kids this Halloween season.

With just a little creativity and some affordable supplies, you can bond with your toddler while keeping them engaged and entertained.

So gear up for some spook-tacular crafting and enjoy a front-row seat to their imagination!

Happy crafting and have a hauntingly fun Halloween!
